This holistic approach is encapsulated in the 452 Hospitality philosophy, which serves as the cornerstone for all of SSA's services, guiding their commitment to operational intelligence, excellence in service, and fostering memorable moments.
The Food Service Supervisor role at SSA is a critical position reporting directly to the Food Service Operations Manager(s). This supervisory role is designed for a dynamic leader passionate about food service and guest satisfaction, capable of managing daily operational workflows while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and customer service. This includes managing daily prep and item lists, assigning tasks to employees, coaching and supporting staff, and responding effectively to guest feedback.
A successful Food Service Supervisor at SSA must embody the 452 Hospitality ethos by delivering warm, welcoming, and outstanding experiences to every guest and client. The role requires hands-on involvement in operations to ensure smooth service during peak times by addressing staffing needs actively and filling operational gaps. The supervisor also plays a key role in enforcing compliance with safety protocols such as safe food handling, proper sanitation practices, product rotation, and alcohol service regulations. Maintaining cleanliness, organization of storage areas, and ensuring the proper merchandising of products are essential parts of the job.
This position demands strong leadership capabilities including training, performance reviews, daily coaching, and break management for team members. The supervisor must also oversee routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment, ensuring the working environment is safe and organized. Working in alignment with local, state, and federal laws, the supervisor champions company policies while fostering an inclusive workplace where diversity and belonging are prioritized. Leadership also extends to promoting sustainability and community engagement initiatives.
SSA offers a comprehensive benefits package for this role, including eligibility for overtime pay, access to an On-Demand Pay Program, meal plans, employee discounts, and a robust 401(k) program with a 15% company match for eligible employees. Additional perks include tuition discounts through partnership colleges, bereavement leave, holiday pay with premium rates for major holidays, and paid sick leave in compliance with various state and local regulations. This role offers varied working hours including nights, weekends, and holidays, appealing to candidates flexible with their scheduling.
Ideal candidates will have 1-2 years of quick service management or supervisory experience and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. SSA values team players who are approachable and professional, adept at problem-solving, multi-tasking, and navigating fast-paced environments. This role provides an exciting opportunity to grow within a reputable hospitality brand committed to innovation, excellence, and making a positive impact in every community it serves.
