Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience supervising multiple employees in a food service environment
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work onsite full-time in a correctional facility
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain quality standards
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Commitment to food safety and sanitation practices

Job Qualifications

  • Experience supervising multiple employees
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and service knowledge
  • Advanced degree in culinary arts or related field (preferred)
  • Food handler's certification (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Provide hands-on supervision and oversight for the preparation, cooking, and portioning of meals following company recipes based on daily needs and contractual obligations
  • Ensure all meals meet standards for quality
  • Oversee kitchen staff to maintain food safety and sanitation standards
  • Coordinate daily kitchen operations including inventory and supply management
  • Train and mentor kitchen employees to improve performance and adherence to procedures
  • Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Collaborate with management to meet budgeting and operational goals
