Operated by POWDR, a leader in outdoor lifestyle experiences, Mt. Bachelor is dedicated to delivering memorable moments to guests through its dynamic and inviting culture rooted in mountain heritage. The resort emphasizes a positive, team-oriented work environment and values employees who bring passion, energy, and a commitment to exceptional service. With a vision focused on excellence, Mt. Bachelor fosters an atmosphere where employees are true moment makers, actively shaping unique guest experiences in one of the most beautiful outdoor settings in the Pacific Northwest. The resort offers a wide array of amenities and activities including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, and mountain biking, creating an exciting workplace that blends fun with work seamlessly.

The Food Service Staff position at Mt. Bachelor is a vital role across various cafeterias situated within the resort's lodges. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in active environments and enjoy engaging with guests to enhance their overall experience. Responsibilities include cashiering, bussing tables, expediting orders accurately, and maintaining cleanliness in guest areas to ensure a welcoming atmosphere. The position requires a friendly, outgoing demeanor with a strong focus on guest interaction and satisfaction. Employees in this role adapt to fluctuating work environments that range from fast-paced to more relaxed periods, reflecting the dynamic nature of the resort.

Mt. Bachelor values employees by offering competitive pay starting at $16.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support a healthy work-life balance. Transportation options are provided to and from nearby communities including Bend, Sunriver, and La Pine, easing commute challenges. Employees also enjoy discounts on food, retail, rentals, and lessons within the resort, as well as access to winter housing and summer camping programs. The resort promotes financial well-being through a 401k plan with up to 5% company match and immediate vesting coupled with access to discounted daycare onsite. Additional benefits extend to local and national partnerships with brands like YETI, Burton, and Subaru. Employees benefit from reciprocal access to other POWDR resorts and a 50% discount on day passes at IKON pass resorts, underscoring the unique blend of work and play at Mt. Bachelor.

The Food Service Staff role demands proficiency in customer service, order accuracy, and POS system knowledge. Staff are responsible for maintaining an organized and sanitized working environment, ensuring all safety and sanitation protocols are followed. Duties include preparing orders to specification, managing inventory, resetting tables, and assisting with dishwashing and snow removal as needed. Candidates must hold an Oregon Food Handler's Card and OLCC permit, possess solid communication and multitasking skills, and demonstrate physical capability for tasks such as carrying food trays, frequent walking, and lifting over 50 pounds. This role requires flexibility in working hours and a proactive attitude towards anticipating guest and operational needs.

At Mt. Bachelor, the commitment to diversity and inclusion is strong, creating a welcoming work environment for all employees regardless of background. The resort invites applicants aged 15 and above to join its team, underscoring its role as an equal opportunity employer that values the talents and contributions of every employee.
