The department prides itself on creating an environment where recovery and resilience are prioritized through comprehensive, client-focused services. DBHDD emphasizes inclusion, respect, and the professional growth of its employees, offering them the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the community's health and well-being.

As a supervisor, the Food Service Specialist IV is responsible for training new employees, coordinating work schedules, and conducting annual performance evaluations for assigned staff members. Given the nature of the department's services, the role also demands strict adherence to patient privacy regulations and the patients' Bill of Rights, ensuring a respectful and dignified service environment.

This position is considered essential during emergencies, highlighting the importance of reliability, leadership, and adaptability in fulfilling these duties. Candidates must possess comprehensive knowledge of cafeteria-style and mass food service operations, as well as strong customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot operational challenges efficiently. Physical demands include manual lifting of up to 40 pounds, working in variable temperature conditions, and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods. The department offers a competitive full-time employment package with comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, and vision insurance, paid leave, and retirement plan options, emphasizing its commitment to employee well-being and professional development.
