Job Requirements

  • Experience in commercial or institutional food service
  • valid driver’s license with a good driving record
  • ServSafe certification or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • ability to lift 40 lbs and stand for long periods
  • excellent communication, organization, and teamwork skills
  • compassionate, patient, and mission-driven approach to serving vulnerable populations

Job Duties

  • Plan, prepare, and serve daily meals following nutritional and organizational guidelines
  • supervise and support volunteers in the kitchen
  • ensure compliance with all health department food safety regulations
  • manage inventory, track donations, and coordinate deliveries
  • develop weekly menus based on available food donations and budget
  • maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment
  • assist with food pickups and deliveries as needed
  • uphold the mission and values of St. Vincent DePaul
