Job Description

AdventHealth is a leading healthcare organization committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care while embracing a mission to extend the healing ministry of Christ. As a faith-based institution, AdventHealth emphasizes not only the physical health of patients but also the holistic well-being of individuals—body, mind, and spirit. With a focus on community, AdventHealth creates an environment where both patients and staff feel valued, supported, and uplifted, fostering an inclusive culture that encourages professional growth and personal development. The healthcare system operates a range of services, including hospitals, outpatient centers, and specialized clinics, providing exceptional care across multiple states. Their commitment to innovation, excellent service, and compassionate care has made AdventHealth a trusted name in healthcare.

The role available is a full-time Culinary Cook position based in Denver, Colorado, at the 2525 S Downing St facility. This position offers a day shift schedule and is designed for individuals passionate about preparing nutritious and visually appealing meals in a healthcare environment. The Culinary Cook will play a vital role in delivering meals to patients, supporting café services, and facilitating catering events—always adhering to established recipes and production standards. The individual in this role will collaborate closely with leadership to create and update menus, ensuring compliance with dietary guidelines and operational efficiency. A fundamental part of the job is maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety by following HACCP guidelines and accurately recording temperatures to guarantee food safety.

Beyond food preparation, the Culinary Cook will oversee food production activities such as portioning and batch cooking to meet quality and service expectations for both patient and retail services. Effective communication with the Food and Nutrition Services Coordinator and team members is crucial to coordinate daily operations, troubleshoot challenges, and maintain smooth service delivery. The role is ideal for candidates with at least two years of experience in food service or healthcare settings, who are attentive to detail, organized, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. AdventHealth supports its employees with a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one, paid time off, retirement plans, and additional perks such as mental health resources and pet benefits. This competitive role offers a pay range between $19.99 and $31.98 per hour, reflecting the importance AdventHealth places on attracting skilled culinary professionals dedicated to enhancing patient care through quality nutrition.
