Job Description
Naperville Park District is a renowned public recreation department serving the community of Naperville, Illinois. Known for its commitment to enhancing the quality of life in the area, the district offers a wide range of services that include parks maintenance, recreational programs, community events, and facility management. As a respected government entity, the Naperville Park District operates multiple facilities including golf courses, community centers, and special event venues, striving to provide outstanding customer service and community engagement through its programs.
The Food Service Sales Associate role at Naperville Park District plays a vital part in maintaining the exemplary standards of food and beverage service at the district's recreational facilities, including golf courses. This position involves daily interaction with guests, requiring outstanding customer service, food preparation, and cleanliness within the food service area. Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager and Food Service Supervisor, the associate is responsible for managing day-to-day transactions, preparing and selling food and beverage products, and ensuring all sanitation standards are followed. The role occasionally requires working during special events and tournaments, thereby contributing directly to the district's successful event operations.
In addition to typical food service duties, the associate will support Cart Range Attendants by managing inventory on the beverage cart and operating the cart on the golf course to serve patrons. This requires safe driving skills, attentiveness to customer needs, and the ability to work collaboratively with other staff members. The role demands adherence to health and safety regulations and the ability to handle customer complaints professionally and efficiently. The employment type is part-time or seasonal depending on facility needs, with training and certifications such as BASSET, Illinois Food Handler's Certification, and First Aid/CPR/AED expected within specific timeframes after hire. This position offers a dynamic and social work environment ideal for individuals passionate about customer service and food service operations in a recreational setting.
