The Food Service Worker role at Aramark is an entry-level position that plays a vital role in the daily operations of food service and meal preparation. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for preparing a variety of quality foods and baked goods according to a planned menu while ensuring the accurate and sanitary storage of food items. Additionally, the worker will serve food in accordance with meal schedules and departmental policies, while ensuring garnishments are added for customer satisfaction and visual appeal.
Daily interactions with the manager to understand and accurately prepare the menu will be a vital part of the job, along with supervising food temperature requirements to ensure safety and quality standards are met. The worker will also coordinate and assist with major cleaning tasks for kitchen equipment such as refrigerators, freezers, and steam tables. Maintaining a clean, organized work and storage area, as well as handling waste disposal duties, is essential to the role.
Physical demands included in this position involve lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended periods of walking or standing. Workers may also need to wear uniforms and personal protective equipment (PPE) for safety and hygiene compliance.
