Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food service or related field preferred
- ability to stand and walk for 80 percent of the workday
- ability to lift and carry food items up to 40 pounds unassisted and 75 pounds with assistance
- availability to work a forty-hour week with rotating weekday shifts and every other weekend
- willingness to work within scheduled department hours of 5 AM to 7 PM
- ability to maintain strict sanitation and safety standards
- ability to operate kitchen and cleaning equipment safely
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in food preparation or service is preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs unassisted and 75 lbs with assistance
- good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepares, cooks, and serves food in large quantities
- maintains sanitation and cleanliness to reduce food infection risk
- processes, prepares, and cooks a variety of food into various consistencies and portion sizes for regular and modified diets
- operates electrical and mechanical kitchen equipment with safety
- sets up serving line and serves food onto trays for individuals
- performs cleaning and sanitizing of all equipment, utensils, fixtures, floors, and vehicles
- operates vehicles and acts as vehicle safety spotter
- operates cash register
