The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a dynamic management position responsible for overseeing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This position involves developing and implementing dining solutions tailored to meet the evolving needs and preferences of customers. The Food Service Manager leads the front of the house operations in dining facilities such as cafeterias or residential dining centers, working closely with the Food Service Director. Key responsibilities include planning and leading daily team briefings, rewarding and recognizing employees, and ensuring that individual and team objectives are met to exceed client expectations. Financial acumen is essential in this position; incumbents are tasked with completing and maintaining profit and loss statements, hitting financial targets for both the client and company, and managing costs effectively through inventory control and margin improvement strategies. Productivity is optimized by following Operational Excellence fundamentals, maintaining food and labor initiatives, and supervising production quality and control.

The Food Service Manager also serves as a key liaison in client relationship management by identifying client needs, communicating operational status, and fostering collaborative, mutually beneficial partnerships. Compliance with all relevant policies and regulations surrounding safety, health, and labor laws is mandatory. This role requires physical stamina, as managers may need to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.   • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer
