The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a key management position responsible for overseeing and managing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role involves developing and implementing dining solutions tailored to meet customer needs and taste preferences. Strong financial acumen is essential for this role, as the manager must ensure accurate completion and maintenance of profit and loss statements, meet financial targets, and implement cost controls while maximizing profitability. This includes understanding performance metrics, analyzing data related to orders and inventory trends, and educating the team on key factors to improve margins.

Job Requirements

  • Requires at least 2 to 3 years of experience
  • Requires at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a management role
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other departments
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

  • Lead the front of the house of the dining operation (Cafeteria/Residential Dining Facility) in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer
