The opportunity to join Sodexo as an Operations Manager at Luther Manor Home in Milwaukee, WI, represents a unique and exciting challenge. This role is pivotal in managing the food operations within an upscale, culinary-driven environment designed meticulously to provide a luxurious dining experience. The Operations Manager will be responsible for the hands-on oversight of daily food service operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, eclectic menus with an emphasis on upscale a la carte offerings. This role requires extensive knowledge of food production at a high standard as well as an ability to maintain and improve service quality while meeting financial targets and operational goals.

The Operations Manager will serve not only as a leader internally but also as a liaison maintaining strong client and customer relationships to foster trust and satisfaction. Their responsibilities include mentoring, motivating, and coaching frontline hourly staff to uphold the Sodexo standards of service excellence and food safety. They will also be accountable for compliance with all food and safety regulations, while managing profit and loss, inventory controls, and the fiscal responsibilities associated with running a standalone food operation.

Job Requirements

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum management experience of 2 years
  • minimum functional experience of 1 year in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts
  • strong leadership skills
  • ability to manage multiple priorities
  • professional communication skills
  • flexibility to take on additional responsibilities
  • working knowledge of food inventory, ordering, production and management systems
  • experience in financials and fiscal oversight

Job Qualifications

  • associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • 2-3 years experience at the operations manager or assistant manager level with a recognized concept or company
  • strong leadership skills and ability to work collaboratively with all levels of the organization
  • professional communication skills and passion for high-level customer service
  • working knowledge of automated food inventory, ordering, production and management systems as well as menu graphics programs
  • experience in financial preparation and oversight
