The Food Service Manager at Aramark plays a critical management role responsible for overseeing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role is key to developing and implementing dining solutions that meet diverse customer needs and preferences. The Food Service Manager leads the front of the house dining operation, including cafeterias and residential dining facilities, in conjunction with the Food Service Director. Responsibilities include planning, directing, and coordinating food service activities to deliver high-quality finished products to customers while ensuring safety, sanitation, and compliance with all applicable policies and regulations. The manager uses Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members, reward and recognize employees, and ensure individual and team performance meets company objectives and client expectations.

This position requires strong leadership skills, financial acumen to manage profit and loss statements and meet financial targets, and operational expertise to maintain productivity and control costs. The Food Service Manager also fosters effective client relationships, communicates operational progress, and ensures the team is trained to uphold the highest standards of quality and customer service. Additionally, the position demands maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees while promoting collaboration across departments for a unified food service experience.

Job Duties

  • ensure entire team is trained and able to implement
  • supervise team regarding production, quality and control
  • maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
  • follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations including those related to safety, health, wage and hour
  • lead the front of the house of the dining operation in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer
