Job Description
Sodexo is a global leader in quality of life services, providing comprehensive solutions to enhance patient experiences and operational efficiencies within healthcare environments. The company specializes in delivering integrated services including food, nutrition, environmental, facilities management, healthcare technology management, retail, and patient experience services. With a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals and communities, Sodexo partners with healthcare institutions worldwide to ensure superior service delivery that meets high standards of safety, compassion, and professionalism.
At Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis, MN, Sodexo is seeking a Food Service Manager - Patient Services to join their dedicated team. This role focuses on supporting the "back of house" operations within patient services, playing a pivotal role in managing and elevating the overall patient dining experience. The Food Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing service levels tailored to exceed patient and customer satisfaction by collaborating effectively with clinical, food service, and interdisciplinary teams.
The role involves evaluating and developing the Patient Services Program to meet and surpass Sodexo's rigorous standards. This includes conducting tray assessments to ensure food quality, presentation, and tray accuracy, as well as achieving outstanding results in regulatory inspections and audits. A crucial part of the position is supervising hourly associates, providing leadership and development opportunities to support team growth and maintain high-performance standards.
Candidates for this position will benefit from a competitive compensation package that considers education, experience, skills, and training. Sodexo also offers a comprehensive range of benefits designed to support the well-being and career growth of their employees, including medical, dental, and vision care, wellness programs, 401(k) matching, paid time off, company holidays, and tuition reimbursement opportunities.
At Sodexo, the commitment to diversity and inclusion is strong, ensuring that every employee is valued and respected. The company fosters an inclusive environment where all team members are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work and contribute their unique perspectives. Sodexo believes that by embracing diversity and upholding core values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Enthusiasm, and Service (CARES), they can build stronger teams and deliver exceptional service to their clients and patients.
The Food Service Manager role requires excellent leadership and communication skills, a passion for patient-centered care, and a solid understanding of nutrition and specialized diets. Experience in overseeing diet offices and strong management capabilities, preferably within a healthcare setting, will be highly advantageous. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to grow their careers and make a significant impact in the healthcare food service sector by leading a team committed to excellence.
