The company invests in the growth and development of its employees, with a strong focus on leadership development and career advancement. QuickChek's food service division is a critical component of its business model, emphasizing fresh food quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
This Food Service Manager training position is designed to prepare qualified candidates for future management roles within QuickChek's Fresh Food business segment. The role is integral to ensuring the profitability and operational efficiency of the food service and service beverage departments. The Food Service Manager will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain food quality and safety standards, and manage inventory control while striving to meet sales and profit goals. Candidates will undergo comprehensive training to develop skills in food service operations, team leadership, inventory management, and customer relations. Only those who achieve a "ready" status upon completing training will be considered for promotion to Food Service Manager, underscoring the company's dedication to maintaining high standards.
The role demands a blend of operational know-how and leadership ability. Responsibilities include overseeing daily food preparation activities to ensure freshness and quality, training and mentoring new team members, and managing food inventory to minimize waste and maximize profitability. The successful Food Service Manager trainee must also demonstrate a strong commitment to food safety and sanitation protocols, cash handling policies, and loss prevention strategies. Additionally, flexibility is important, as the position requires availability to work various shifts, travel within the assigned district, and attend training sessions at QuickChek University and other locations.
QuickChek supports its employees with a competitive wage range of $16.50 to $17.00 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package. Employees receive pay on-demand, weekly paychecks, medical, dental, and vision coverage, and a matching 401(k) plan up to 6%. Other benefits include overtime pay for extra hours worked, commission-based bonuses linked to store performance, tuition assistance for eligible degree programs, and ongoing professional development through QuickChek University. The company values positive attitudes, strong teamwork, exceptional customer service skills, and a dedication to aligning with QuickChek’s core values.
This role is suited for motivated individuals with prior food service or retail management experience who are seeking to advance their careers within a supportive and growing company. The Food Service Manager trainee position offers a clear pathway for advancement, ongoing learning opportunities, and the chance to make a tangible impact on customer experiences and business outcomes. Working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment, you will develop leadership skills while contributing to QuickChek’s reputation for Fresh Food excellence and customer satisfaction.
