The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal management position focused on managing and enhancing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This position involves overseeing day-to-day dining solutions to meet customer needs and preferences while ensuring operational excellence. The Food Service Manager applies Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members to their highest potential, fostering a motivated and productive workforce. This role is responsible for leading the front of the house in dining facilities such as cafeterias and residential dining facilities, coordinating food service activities to deliver high-quality finished products to customers. In addition to leadership responsibilities, the Food Service Manager ensures compliance with safety and sanitation standards, maintains strong client relationships by identifying needs and communicating operational progress, and drives financial performance by managing profit and loss statements and meeting financial targets. The manager also applies operational excellence principles to maintain food and labor initiatives, supervises production quality and cost control, and ensures the team is well-trained and capable. This role requires attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments to deliver a seamless dining experience. Candidates should be prepared for occasional physical demands such as lifting or standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience
  • at least 1 year of experience in a management role
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
  • ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments
  • ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lb occasionally
  • ability to stand for extended periods

Job Qualifications
