As an established company, Aramark is rooted in service and united by its purpose to do great things for employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company emphasizes a culture of equal employment opportunity, diversity, and inclusion for all employees. Known for its commitment to developing talents and fostering professional growth, Aramark is an excellent workplace for individuals aspiring to build long-lasting careers in the food service and hospitality sector. The company continuously strives to fuel employee passions and empower them to reach their full potential, making it a sought-after employer in the industry.

The Portfolio Group, operating under Aramark's Workplace Experience Group, is focused on delivering seamless and exceptional experiences in dining and workplace services, catering to the unique needs of each business portfolio it serves. This group specializes in providing tailored services that range from breakrooms to boardrooms, ensuring convenience, consistency, and excellence are standard across all interactions.

The Food Service Manager role within the Portfolio Group is a key management position responsible for overseeing and managing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role entails developing and implementing innovative dining solutions to meet customer needs and preferences. It involves leadership responsibilities such as engaging and developing team members using Aramark's coaching model, recognizing employee achievements, and ensuring individual and team performance aligns with client expectations. The Food Service Manager plans and leads daily team briefings, upholds safety and sanitation standards, and maintains strong client relationships by understanding and communicating client operational progress.

Financial stewardship is a critical aspect of this role, requiring the management of Profit and Loss statements, meeting company and client financial targets, and educating teams on improving margins through data-driven insights on performance metrics, order trends, and inventory management. The Food Service Manager is tasked with enhancing productivity by overseeing efficient operations, cost controls, profit management, and ensuring that food and labor initiatives are met according to operational excellence standards. This includes training the team thoroughly and supervising production, quality, and operational controls.

Compliance is another core component of the role, with the Food Service Manager responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees while adhering to all applicable policies, rules, and regulations concerning safety, health, wage, and hour standards. Additional duties include leading the front of the house operations of dining facilities like cafeterias or residential dining services in conjunction with the Food Service Director and coordinating food service activities to ensure customer satisfaction.

Aramark values adaptability, and the responsibilities of the Food Service Manager may evolve to meet business needs, with a focus on continuous improvement and impactful service delivery.
