- Minimum three years of experience in a medium-scale food service or retail operation
- Minimum two years supervising employees, budgeting, and marketing
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and follow up
- Recordkeeping skills for inventory and supplies
- Ability to direct and coordinate food service staff
- Ability to train staff in food preparation and equipment use
- Experience managing point-of-sale systems and closing procedures

Job Duties
- Oversee daily food service operations across campus dining locations, ensuring efficient, high-quality service and a positive customer experience
- Coordinate food production, service flow, and staffing to manage food waste, meet operational demands and service standards
- Maintain a visible, active presence in dining operations to monitor performance, support staff, and ensure service standards are consistently met
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal health regulations and food safety standards
- Maintain proper food handling, storage, sanitation, and temperature control procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented as needed
- Monitor and evaluate service quality, making adjustments to improve efficiency, consistency, cost efficiency and customer satisfaction
- Support the planning and execution of campus catering
- Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate food service staff, including cooks, cashiers, and student employees
- Develop schedules and assign work to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operations
- Provide ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback to support staff development and accountability
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and team-oriented work environment
- Collaborate on menu planning and development to meet diverse dietary needs and preferences
- Introduce new menu items, promotions, and service concepts in response to campus feedback and trends
- Engage with students, staff, and faculty to gather feedback and improve dining services
- Ensure menu consistency, portion control, and cost-effective use of ingredients

- Monitor food cost, food waste, labor, and operational costs to support fiscal responsibility
- Manage inventory levels, ordering, and product utilization to ensure product availability and minimize waste
- Place food and supply orders in alignment with operational needs, budget constraints, and menu requirements
- Manage relationships with external vendors and suppliers, including product sourcing, pricing, quality, and service performance
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs by scheduling service with approved vendors and ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to operations
- Monitor vending machine operations and serve as the primary liaison with external vendors to report issues, request service, and ensure functionality
- Track sales trends and adjust operations or offerings accordingly
- Assist with budgeting and financial reporting as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
