The Food Service Manager position at Aramark is a pivotal management role responsible for overseeing and managing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role is designed to develop and implement dining solutions that cater to customer preferences while ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety and sanitation standards. Reporting directly to the Food Service Director, the Food Service Manager leads the front of the house operations in facilities such as cafeterias or residential dining areas.

This role is key to maintaining superior client relations by identifying client needs, communicating operational progress, and ensuring a unified and high-quality food service experience. Financial stewardship is another crucial aspect of the position, involving the management of profit and loss statements, achievement of financial targets, inventory controls, and the implementation of cost-saving measures to enhance profitability. The Food Service Manager also plays a vital role in team engagement by utilizing Aramark's coaching model to inspire and develop employees, conducting daily briefings, and fostering a safe and collaborative work environment.

Ideal candidates will bring at least one year of management experience and demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, including bilingual fluency in Spanish and English. This role requires physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. Job Requirements

  • Requires at least 1 year of experience
  • Requires at least 1 year of experience in a management role
  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
