The Food Service Manager position at Hy-Vee, specifically in the Market Grille department, plays a crucial leadership role in delivering high-quality food products and outstanding customer service. The manager is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer interactions, setting the bar for hospitality within the department by greeting and assisting customers warmly. A key part of the role involves making sure that product displays are regularly rotated and replenished, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines, and managing inventory levels to balance optimal stock with cost control. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of related food service or management experience
- Ability to perform medium physical work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Capacity to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Effective communication skills
- Must be punctual and reliable
- Willingness to comply with all food safety guidelines and company policies
- Ability to work in fast-paced, noisy, and sometimes cold work environment
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screen
Job Qualifications
