The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal management position responsible for overseeing and managing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role focuses not only on operational excellence but also on leadership development, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. As a Food Service Manager, you will engage with team members using Aramark's coaching model to maximize their potential, lead daily team briefings, and ensure that safety and sanitation standards are strictly maintained across the dining facilities.

In this position, you will work closely with clients to identify their needs and communicate operational progress effectively. You'll be responsible for managing financial targets by maintaining profit and loss statements, analyzing performance metrics, and implementing cost control measures that enhance margins. Your role includes ensuring productivity by following Operational Excellence fundamentals related to food and labor initiatives and supervising your team to uphold production quality and control.

Additionally, the Food Service Manager ensures compliance with all relevant policies, including those related to safety, health, wages, and working hours, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers, and staff. You will lead the front of the house of the dining operation, coordinating food service activities in partnership with the Food Service Director to deliver a finished product that meets or exceeds customer expectations.

Job Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lb
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other departments

Job Qualifications

  • Requires at least 1 year of experience
  • Requires at least 1 year of experience in a management role
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with other departments
  • Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
