Job Description

Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. Rooted deeply in service and united by a strong sense of purpose, Aramark is dedicated to doing great things for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The company fosters an inclusive and supportive work environment where every employee has the opportunity to develop their talents, pursue their passions, and grow professionally. Known for its commitment to diversity and equal opportunity employment, Aramark values the individual contributions of each team member and strives to maintain a workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, gender identity, disability, or other protected characteristics. Their mission revolves around service with integrity and excellence, offering rewarding careers that provide meaningful impact to the clients and communities served worldwide.

The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a critical leadership position responsible for the overall management and operation of dining services, where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role is designed to develop and implement innovative dining solutions tailored to meet the diverse needs and tastes of customers. The manager oversees day-to-day operations, ensuring that service quality, safety standards, and sanitation protocols are rigorously maintained. Leveraging Aramark's established coaching model, the Food Service Manager leads, engages, and develops a high-performing team, fostering an environment that encourages professional growth and team collaboration. Key functions include planning and leading daily team briefings, recognizing employees for their achievements, and ensuring that both individual and team performance consistently align with organizational objectives and client expectations.

Beyond leadership, this role plays a pivotal part in client relationship management by identifying client needs and maintaining clear communication regarding operational progress. Financial stewardship is equally important; the manager is tasked with ensuring the completion of profit and loss statements, delivering on financial targets set by both clients and the company, and educating teams on critical performance metrics to maximize operational efficiency and profit margins. The manager drives productivity through diligent oversight of cost controls, food and labor initiatives, and effective supervision of production quality. Compliance with all relevant policies, including health and safety regulations, wage and hour laws, and sanitation standards, is mandatory to maintain a safe, healthy environment for clients, customers, and employees alike.

The Food Service Manager also collaborates closely with the Food Service Director to lead the front of house in cafeteria or residential dining settings, ensuring a seamless and high-quality customer experience. Aramark values adaptability, and as such, the responsibilities of this role may evolve to meet changing business needs or new strategic goals, reflecting the company's dynamic approach to service excellence and operational success. This position requires occasional physical activity such as lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods, ensuring hands-on leadership and involvement. Candidates with at least one year of management experience and strong interpersonal skills, coupled with a customer-focused approach aligned with Aramark's service standards, will find this role rewarding and integral to both personal and professional growth.
