The Food Service Manager position at Aramark is a vital management role charged with overseeing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This role focuses on developing and implementing innovative dining solutions tailored to meet customer needs and tastes, ensuring a high-quality food service experience. The successful candidate will demonstrate leadership by executing Aramark's coaching model to engage team members and cultivate their full potential. Responsibilities include planning and leading daily team briefings, rewarding and recognizing employee achievements, and maintaining rigorous safety and sanitation standards.
A key component of this role involves managing client relationships by identifying client needs, communicating operational progress effectively, and ensuring financial targets are achieved by maintaining Profit and Loss statements and overseeing cost controls. The Food Service Manager ensures productivity through efficient operations that incorporate food and labor cost management and guarantees the team is trained and capable of producing high-quality meals aligned with company standards. Compliance with all applicable policies, including safety, health regulations, wage and hour laws, is mandatory. The manager also leads the front of the house in dining operations in coordination with the Food Service Director and plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities to deliver exceptional finished products to customers.

Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of general experience
- At least 1 year of management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain client and customer rapport
- Ability to use customer service standards
- Ability to work with other departments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for long periods

- Requires at least 1 year of experience
- Requires at least 1 year of experience in a management role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships
- Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service using Aramark's standard service model
- Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other departments to a unified food service experience for all customers
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Job Duties

- Deliver client and company financial targets
- Adopt all Aramark processes and systems, understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends
- educate teams on key levers to improve margins
- Bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
- Follow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining food and labor initiatives
- Ensure entire team is trained and able to implement
- Supervise team regarding production, quality and control
- Maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
- Follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations, including but not limited to those relating to safety, health, wage and hour
- Lead the front of the house of the dining operation (Cafeteria/ Residential Dining Facility) in conjunction with the Food Service Director
- Plans, directs, and coordinates food service activities in order to deliver a finished product to the customer
