As a United Way member agency, People Incorporated is dedicated to fostering inclusive, supportive environments and encourages diversity by welcoming applicants from all races, religions, nationalities, genders, the LGBTQIA+ community, and people with disabilities. The agency invests heavily in the professional growth and well-being of its employees by providing a collaborative and creative workspace that values teamwork, development, and community engagement. It offers competitive wages along with a robust benefits package to support the health, financial security, and personal growth of its workforce.

The Food Service Manager position at People Incorporated is a critical role requiring leadership and expertise in managing the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) across two school locations: the Early Education Center and the Children’s Center. This role, with a salary range of $60,000 to $65,000 annually and standard working hours from 8am to 4pm, is responsible for ensuring full compliance with federal and state guidelines governing CACFP, thus promoting healthy nutrition for children in care. The Food Service Manager provides direct oversight of food service operations, menu planning, meal preparation, and meal service protocols, ensuring all nutritional standards, portion sizes, and meal patterns meet rigorous program requirements.

Beyond compliance, the Food Service Manager is tasked with maintaining meticulous documentation, from enrollment and eligibility verification to production records and audit-ready files. Collaboration with center leadership, kitchen staff, and classroom teams is essential to delivering seamless food service operations that prioritize child safety, food quality, and regulatory adherence. The role involves conducting frequent on-site monitoring and training sessions for staff, identifying and resolving areas of non-compliance, and staying current on changes to CACFP policies.

This position offers an ideal opportunity for seasoned food service professionals with at least 10 years of management experience, preferably with a background in childcare or early education settings. Candidates should hold current ServSafe certification and demonstrate proficiency in USDA and local health regulations. People Incorporated supports a workplace environment that promotes employee recognition, ongoing professional development, and multiple growth pathways, including tuition assistance and scholarship opportunities. This is a unique chance to join a mission-driven organization dedicated to improving child nutrition through expert program oversight and community collaboration.
