Job Requirements

  • able to perform essential job functions
  • must undergo medical examination upon conditional offer
  • submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police and FBI clearance
  • full-time availability for first shift, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • no telework option available
  • adherence to application submission deadlines and eligibility documentation requirements
  • compliance with Older Adult Protective Services Act provisions

Job Qualifications

  • one year of supervisory experience involving preparation of special diet menus in a school, hospital, nursing home, or related institutional food service operation with a bachelor’s degree in foods, nutrition, dietetics, food service, institutional management, or related field
  • or an equivalent combination of experience and training including one year of supervisory experience in institutional food service
  • knowledge of food safety and handling techniques
  • ability to manage staff and food service operations efficiently
  • strong organizational and communication skills
  • familiarity with menu planning and portion control

Job Duties

  • oversee ordering, receiving, and inventory control of food items
  • inspect, weigh, and check perishable deliveries for quality compliance
  • prepare menus and determine food quantities for proper portioning and plating
  • supervise and coordinate food production, preparation, and delivery activities
  • ensure food safety, quality, and proper serving temperatures
  • conduct and coordinate staff training and orientation
  • manage efficient staffing and time-effective food handling practices
