The Food Service Manager position at LifeWorks is a high-impact role that involves overseeing a busy café in a fast-paced, high-volume setting. This role requires managing a large team of 35 staff members who prepare and serve freshly made meals from a diverse and dynamic menu. The Food Service Manager is responsible for all aspects of daily operations including labor management, adherence to safety and sanitation standards, and ensuring a superior guest experience marked by consistency and high service standards.

The successful candidate will apply Aramark's coaching model to develop team members, lead daily briefings, and enforce operational excellence. Monitoring financial performance through P&L statements and adopting key company metrics is vital to achieving profit goals and maintaining cost control. This leadership role also requires proactive client relationship management and effective communication to meet and exceed client expectations. Overall, this position is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys mentoring a team, and is driven by delivering exceptional food service and operational outcomes.

Job Requirements

  • at least 1 year of relevant experience

  • able to lift, carry, push or pull up to 50 lb
  • ability to stand for long periods

Job Duties

  • use Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members

  • understand performance metrics, data, order and inventory trends
  • educate teams on key levers to improve margins
  • bring value through efficient operations, appropriate cost controls, and profit management
  • follow the Operational Excellence fundamentals by meeting and maintaining food and labor initiatives
  • ensure entire team is trained and able to implement
  • supervise team regarding production, quality and control
  • maintain a safe and healthy environment for clients, customers and employees
  • follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations including safety, health, wage and hour
  • lead the front of the house of the dining operation in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer
