The Food Service Manager at Aramark plays a critical management role within an overnight facility, acting as a key leader responsible for developing and implementing dietary solutions tailored to meet client needs and preferences. The position involves overseeing dietary operations, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and managing financial and productivity outcomes associated with food service. This role requires fostering a positive, productive team environment to deliver high-quality food services efficiently and align with client expectations and company goals. The Food Service Manager leads the front of house of the dining operation, coordinating with the Food Service Director to ensure smooth and seamless delivery of services to customers in environments such as cafeterias or residential dining facilities. This role demands a strong focus on leadership, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

In addition to managing daily operations, the Food Service Manager engages in developing team members through Aramark’s coaching model, rewarding performances, and driving continuous improvement in service delivery. Financial oversight is essential, as the manager is responsible for maintaining profit & loss statements, meeting company financial targets, and educating the team on operational metrics and cost controls. The position involves active collaboration with other departments to create a unified food service experience. Job Requirements

  • 2 to 3 years of culinary manager experience within senior living and/or healthcare fields
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in a management role
  • bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • strong interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to work collaboratively with other departments
  • ability to lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 lb occasionally
  • ability to stand for extended periods
  • willingness to adhere to safety, health, and wage and hour policies

Job Qualifications

  • Requires at least 2 to 3 years of culinary manager experience within senior living and/or healthcare fields
  • requires at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a management role

  • ability to maintain effective client and customer rapport for mutually beneficial business relationships

  • requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 50 lb
  • must be able to stand for extended periods

  • follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations including safety, health, wage and hour requirements
  • lead the front of the house of the dining operation (Cafeteria/Residential Dining Facility) in conjunction with the Food Service Director
  • plan, direct, and coordinate food service activities to deliver a finished product to the customer
