  • 2-4 years of previous experience as a cook, chef, or food preparer in a restaurant or cafeteria setting
  • Math skills to follow and convert recipes
  • Organizational skills
  • Ability to operate school food service equipment safely
  • Good oral and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Knowledge of sanitation practices
  • Written communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Computer usage skills

Job Duties

  • Cook and serve nutritious lunch for students and staff
  • Provide guidance and supervision for all food service staff
  • Respond to and resolve routine employee situations

  • Complete payroll sheets
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Food Service
