As a Food Service Manager, you will be responsible for creating and delivering innovative food service experiences in the café, maintaining high standards of quality and safety, and fostering positive relationships with clients and customers. You will lead, mentor, and develop frontline staff, ensuring retention and a motivated team aligned with Sodexo’s mission to improve life quality. Your role also includes managing operational facets such as cash handling processes, point-of-sale system management, product merchandising, marketing standards, vendor relationships, and compliance. Maintaining integrity of national and in-house retail branded concepts and ensuring all necessary signage—including digital—is up to date also falls within your responsibilities.

Job Requirements

  • have a background in food service or culinary management
  • proven ability to mentor, train, and coach frontline employees
  • can manage multiple priorities, demonstrate professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
  • minimum education requirement - associate's degree or equivalent experience
  • minimum management experience - 2 years
  • minimum functional experience - 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc

Job Duties

  • create and deliver innovative and enriching cafe experiences for patients, family and staff daily
  • deliver high quality food service
  • mentor, develop, and retain frontline staff
  • develop and maintain client and customer relationships
  • oversee cash handing processes, and POS programming and maintenance
  • ensure food and physical safety programs and standards are followed
  • maintain integrity of retail branded concept standards (national and in-house brands)
  • ensure all needed signage (including digital) is in place
  • manage vendor relationships and compliance
  • maintain all product merchandising, marketing and ordering standards are in place
