Sodexo is currently seeking two Food Service Manager 2 positions to lead the daily operations of their food team at HMH Raritan Bay Medical Center, a prominent acute care hospital located in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Raritan Bay Medical Center is a non-profit facility with 347 beds offering a range of medical services including medical-surgical care, critical care, and emergency services. This role is essential in ensuring that food service operations not only meet but exceed expectations within this healthcare setting.

The Food Service Manager 2 will be responsible for crafting and delivering innovative and enriching cafe experiences for patients, families, and staff on a daily basis. This involves actively evaluating and enhancing the service levels of the overall Patient Services Program with the goal of maximizing patient and customer satisfaction. They will oversee the patient dining program and lead daily meal rounding, including service recovery efforts to swiftly address any issues with food service. Collaboration is key in this role as the manager will work closely with clinical, food service, and interdisciplinary teams to continuously improve the patient dining experience.

Another vital aspect of the position is conducting tray assessments to verify the quality, presentation, and accuracy of patient meals. Delivering consistent high-quality food service, managing cash handling protocols according to Sodexo policies, mentoring and developing frontline staff, and nurturing strong client and customer relationships are all integral to the Food Service Manager’s daily duties. This role requires a professional capable of juggling multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail and a passion for outstanding customer service.
