The Food Service Manager role at Sodexo in the Richmond, VA area, specifically serving a university's residential program, is a dynamic and pivotal position within this global enterprise. Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • minimum 1 year management experience

Job Duties

  • maintain and develop client relationships and customer satisfaction for multi-functional food service areas to ensure account retention and positive public relations
  • establish and maintain a safe work environment
  • supervise day-to-day work activities by delegating authority, assigning and prioritizing activities, and monitoring operating standards
  • utilize Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met, and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
  • manage by providing positive, constructive feedback to employees to reward, coach, correct, and motivate, driving a high level of employee engagement
