The Food Service Manager position represents a vital management role within Aramark Student Nutrition. This role is responsible for developing and implementing effective dining solutions that align with customer preferences and nutritional standards. The Food Service Manager oversees and directs dining operations where customers order prepared foods from curated menus, ensuring that all aspects of service delivery meet client and customer expectations. This includes managing team members, ensuring strict adherence to safety and sanitation regulations, monitoring financial performance through profit and loss management, and fostering a positive and productive work environment. The manager will also lead frontline dining services, coordinating closely with the Food Service Director to deliver a seamless dining experience in cafeteria or residential dining facilities.

The position requires a proactive leader who can utilize Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop team members, rewarding and recognizing employee contributions to boost morale and productivity. Financial acumen is critical, particularly in maintaining P&L statements, managing costs, and driving profit targets through informed decision-making regarding inventory and ordering processes. The Food Service Manager is also tasked with ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, policies, and regulations—including those related to safety, health, wage, and labor practices. Additionally, the role demands an ability to maintain strong client relationships by identifying client needs and providing timely communication on operational progress, thereby ensuring a mutually beneficial partnership.
