The Food Service Manager role at Aramark is a pivotal management position responsible for overseeing dining operations where customers order prepared food from a menu. This role focuses on designing and implementing innovative dining solutions that align with customer needs and preferences. The Food Service Manager leads and develops team members through Aramark's coaching model, encouraging employee engagement, rewarding performance, and ensuring team objectives and client expectations are met.
In this role, the manager also plays a critical part in financial performance by maintaining profit and loss statements, achieving company and client financial targets, and utilizing Aramark’s systems and data analysis tools to improve margins. Operational excellence is key, with the manager ensuring efficiency, cost control, and adherence to food and labor initiatives. Safety, health, and compliance standards are rigorously maintained to provide a safe environment for clients, customers, and staff.

Leading the front of the house in dining operations, including cafeterias or residential dining facilities, the manager coordinates activities to deliver high-quality food service products. This position requires at least one year of management experience within food service or a related industry and preferably a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Skills in interpersonal communication, customer service, client rapport, and collaborative teamwork are essential, as is the ability to perform physical tasks like lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods. - follow all applicable policies, rules and regulations
- lead the front of the house of the dining operation in conjunction with the food service director
- plan, direct and coordinate food service activities to deliver finished products to customers
