The Food Service Manager role at Aramark Student Nutrition is a pivotal management position responsible for overseeing and implementing dining solutions that align with customer needs and tastes. This role involves direct management of dining operations, particularly where customers order prepared foods from a menu, ensuring smooth day-to-day functioning and customer satisfaction. The Food Service Manager leads team members by using Aramark's coaching model to engage and develop employees, ensuring that both individual and team performance meet organizational objectives and client expectations. In addition to leadership duties, the Food Service Manager acts as a liaison between the client and the operational team to identify needs and communicate progress. They are tasked with financial oversight, including ensuring completion and maintenance of profit and loss (P&L) statements, achieving client and corporate financial targets, and educating teams on performance metrics that impact margins. This role demands a focus on operational excellence, emphasizing efficient food and labor cost controls and profit management. Compliance with safety, health, wage, and labor regulations is strictly enforced under the manager's supervision. The Food Service Manager also directs the front of the house operations in dining facilities such as cafeterias and residential dining areas, coordinating food service activities to deliver excellent customer service.
