This role also encompasses coaching and developing team members by providing training in food safety standards and food handling best practices. The Food Service Supervisor maintains strong relationships with third-party vendors to monitor and uphold quality standards, ensuring proper temperatures, holding times, and waste management procedures are followed meticulously. With responsibilities ranging from greeting guests warmly to managing sanitation and equipment maintenance, this role requires a well-rounded individual who can prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

Working hours for this position are flexible, with options for both part-time (up to 29 hours) and full-time schedules (32-40 hours). Cumberland Farms locations may operate 24 hours a day, requiring the Food Service Supervisor to work varied shifts including day, night, weekends, and holidays. The position demands physical stamina to perform tasks involving regular lifting of up to 10 pounds, frequent lifting of 25 pounds, and occasional lifting of 40 pounds, as well as standing and walking for prolonged periods. Specialized work attire such as hats, gloves, and visors is provided to ensure safety and hygiene.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum 6 months retail or food experience
  • Preferred 1 year in retail, service or restaurant environment
  • Ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodations
  • Willingness to work varied hours including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to lift 10 to 40 pounds regularly
  • Ability to stand or walk for 8 hours a day
  • Ability to work in cold environments
  • Specialized work attire compliance

Job Qualifications

  • Preferred 1 year in retail, service or restaurant environment
  • Serv Safe Certified a plus but not mandatory
  • Comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members

Job Duties

  • Greet all guests in a friendly manner to make them feel welcomed and appreciated
  • Manage food stock levels, food costs and waste, preparation, presentation, and food safety requirements for hot and cold prepared food and beverage items
  • Oversee the food service area’s cleanliness, sanitation and maintenance of equipment
  • Meet company goals for food sales such as pizza, breakfast sandwiches, coffee etc
  • Provide training, feedback, coaching and direction to fellow team members on food preparation and food safety requirements
  • Maintain relationship with third party vendors on food safety measures - monitoring and training on proper temperatures, holding times and waste processes
  • Maintain proper stock levels and proper rotation of all food products
  • Process guest transactions efficiently and friendly to minimize guest wait time
