Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 2 years experience in a cooking role preferably in an institutional or school setting
  • understanding of food safety standards
  • ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • physical stamina to perform kitchen duties

  • flexibility to work varied hours if needed

  • proven experience as a cook or lead cook in a food service environment

Job Duties

  • prepare and cook nutritious meals according to school menu guidelines
  • ensure compliance with food safety, food handling, and sanitation procedures
  • manage daily kitchen operations including inventory and food storage
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • supervise and coordinate activities of other food service staff
  • monitor portion control and food quality
  • contribute to a positive dining experience for students and staff
