Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One or more years of experience in culinary and food service work
- Ability to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Food Protection Manager Certification or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and assume leadership responsibilities
- Ability to operate food service and office equipment
- Ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
- Ability to inventory food and supplies
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training
- Ability to resolve customer and staff issues professionally
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge and experience in culinary services typically gained through one or more years in food and customer service roles
- Ability to learn and operate computer software, email, and point of sale systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Previous experience in food preparation techniques and meal planning
- Ability to inventory supplies and perform mathematical calculations
- Ability to learn food handling regulations and pass certification tests
- Experience operating various food service and office equipment
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Additional education or related experience preferred
Job Duties
- Lead and oversee daily culinary service operations independently
- Monitor food handling and sanitation standards to ensure regulatory compliance
- Resolve customer issues and support staff in developing customer service skills
- Inventory food and supplies, determine ordering needs based on par levels and special requirements
- Prepare food items according to production forecasts and standardized recipes
- Perform tasks in various service and preparation areas
- Assist with cleaning and sanitation of equipment and work areas
- Provide training and coordination for catered events
- Participate in department meetings and training sessions
- Communicate and make decisions with customers, employees, management, and vendors
