Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in culinary services and customer service
- Ability to learn and operate computer software and point of sale systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Knowledge and experience in food preparation techniques
- Ability to inventory food and supplies and perform mathematical calculations
- Must be able to operate all onsite food service equipment
- Ability to meet food safety and sanitation standards
- Must be available to work varied shifts including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work independently while supervising others
- Must have prior lead or supervisory experience
- Must possess an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card if working at specified locations
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- One or more years of experience in culinary services and customer service roles
- Ability to operate computer software, email, and point of sale systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to use good judgment in problem-solving and employee conflict resolution
- Experience in various food preparation techniques and event cooking/meal planning
- Ability to inventory food and supplies accurately
- Knowledge of food handling regulations and ability to pass certification tests
- Ability to operate standard food service equipment
- Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Additional related education and/or experience preferred
Job Duties
- Independently lead and oversee daily culinary service operations while working in various roles
- Maintain food handling and sanitation standards to comply with licensing agency requirements
- Resolve customer problems and support staff development in customer service skills
- Train culinary staff in work processes and customer service delivery
- Inventory food and supplies, determine ordering and production quantities, and manage within budget and food cost guidelines
- Prepare food items according to production forecasts and recipes
- Assist with cleaning, sanitation, and equipment maintenance
- Provide training and coordination for catered events and perform billing reporting
- Participate in department meetings and training sessions
- Communicate and make decisions with customers, patients, vendors, and management
