Job Requirements

  • high school graduation or equivalent
  • two years of experience in preparing, cooking, and serving food
  • must obtain Alaska Food Worker Card within 30 days of appointment
  • ability to work Wednesday through Sunday including weekends and holidays
  • must be able to work in a commercial kitchen environment
  • effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • physical ability to work in a fast-paced, guest-focused setting

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduation or equivalent

  • ability to work in a commercial kitchen environment
  • strong guest service orientation
  • leadership and team motivation skills
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • valid Alaska Food Worker Card or ability to obtain within 30 days of appointment

Job Duties

  • inventory and order food and supplies
  • train and motivate food service staff
  • discipline food service staff as needed
  • maintain high levels of guest service
  • manage menu with a variety of food offerings
  • support food and beverage service for guests and events
  • work collaboratively with the Director of Base Operations and Food Service Supervisor
