The Food Delivery Driver/Support role within Banner Health's Environmental Services and Culinary Department in Sun City, Arizona, is vital for ensuring that nutritious meals are delivered safely to homebound seniors in the Sun City and surrounding areas. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about serving others, offering not only essential meal delivery but also providing companionship and wellness checks to vulnerable populations. The position requires working a minimum of two shifts per month, providing service Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Employees will use agency vehicles to deliver meals and must ensure the vehicles are well-maintained, clean, fueled, and ready for daily routes.

This role also involves working as part of the food service team by assisting in food preparation, cleaning duties, and supporting retail café operations within healthcare facilities. Candidates will need to follow departmental policies and safety protocols strictly, working under regular supervision to maintain high standards of sanitation, food quality, and customer service. The position requires familiarity with safety and health department regulations, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle cash transactions in café settings if applicable.

Success in this role depends on excellent customer service skills, a caring attitude, and the ability to work efficiently and diligently. Candidates must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be eligible for coverage under the company’s auto insurance policy. The position also requires passing a post-offer occupational health physical, drug screening, and background checks including employment and criminal history.

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Transport food safely and efficiently between various facilities following safety and health policies
  • Deliver food to facilities and assist with unloading and storing deliveries
  • Pick up materials such as vendor invoices and cashier forms from various locations
  • Inspect vehicle daily ensuring it is in good running condition and report any mechanical issues
  • Maintain accurate logs of vehicle runs and activities
  • Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, equipment, and kitchen areas
  • Assist with catering or special event services and handle cash transactions if applicable
  • Set up workstations and prepare foods following portion control and quality standards
  • Provide excellent customer service and follow sanitation standards and safety protocols
