Trio-Community Meals is a dedicated food service division committed to delivering nutritious and delicious meals to vulnerable members of the community, from senior living residents to hospital patients and care facility clients. Operating under the larger umbrella of Elior North America, Trio specializes in community-focused food service, creating meaningful impacts on people’s lives through their daily work. Based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Trio-Community Meals prides itself on fostering an environment that supports the growth and development of its employees, emphasizing diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity in employment. As an organization, Trio offers opportunities for career advancement and skill enrichment, continuously encouraging its workforce to reach their professional goals within the company’s various divisions and corporate structure.
The Food Service Director position at Trio-Community Meals is a full-time, onsite role that involves managing and leading the food service department to ensure smooth, high-quality meal services. The role requires a motivated and effective leader to oversee all aspects of food service operations, including team management, budgeting, and maintaining strict culinary, safety, and sanitation standards. As the Food Service Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring that customers and clients consistently receive excellent dining experiences, from meal preparation to customer service. This leadership position demands both administrative acumen and hands-on involvement in managing a diverse team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Your daily responsibilities will encompass managing departmental resources, purchasing ingredients with a clear focus on budget adherence, and coordinating with district managers and other departments to align on service goals and technical requirements. You will have the opportunity to directly influence the quality and efficiency of food service operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards and fostering a customer-centric approach. The role requires excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with both hourly staff and senior executives, facilitating a collaborative and harmonious workplace.
Ideal candidates will bring at least two years of experience in coordinating food service operations, preferably within industrial cooking environments. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite applications is essential for efficient department management, and certifications such as ServSafe or HACCP are advantageous. Trio-Community Meals values individuals who thrive in diverse environments and prioritize client and customer satisfaction. The role offers a supportive and dynamic work environment where your effort truly matters, backed by a comprehensive benefits package that supports both your professional and personal well-being.
