Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food services, facilities management, and uniform services, proudly serving millions of guests every day across 15 countries. As a company rooted in service and united by purpose, Aramark dedicates itself to delivering exceptional experiences for its employees, partners, communities, and the planet. The organization fosters an inclusive work environment where every employee enjoys equal employment opportunity and is free from discrimination on any legally protected basis. With a commitment to career development, Aramark strives to empower professionals to reach their full potential by nurturing talents, fueling passions, and providing opportunities for growth.
The role of Food Service Director at Aramark is a pivotal management position responsible for overseeing and executing dining operations where customers order prepared foods from a menu. This position blends leadership, financial acumen, and client relationship management with operational expertise to develop dining solutions that meet both customer tastes and business goals. Offering a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $110,000, this role requires a strategic leader who can mentor teams, optimize resources, and ensure compliance with all safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards.
As the Food Service Director, you will lead teams to deliver superior dining experiences by managing front-of-house operations such as cafeterias and residential dining facilities. You are tasked with developing food service plans aligned with client mission and vision, incorporating sustainable practices to support operational goals. Your leadership will be critical in staff recruitment, training, performance management, and fostering a collaborative and engaging work environment.
Financial oversight is a key aspect of the role, including building and managing budgets, controlling food, beverage, and labor costs, and maintaining profitability through detailed knowledge of P&L statements. You will ensure operational excellence by implementing efficient processes for production, distribution, and food service, maintaining quality standards, and driving productivity initiatives.
Building strong relationships with clients is essential to understand their needs, communicate operational progress effectively, and identify opportunities for service improvements and contract growth. The Food Service Director will also participate in sales processes, contract negotiations, and introduce innovative products and services to support client retention and sales expansion.
Aramark values safety and compliance, and the Food Service Director will be responsible for maintaining safe, sanitary, and healthy environments for clients, customers, and employees. Compliance with all applicable policies, rules, and regulations regarding safety, health, wage, and hour is mandatory. This role demands physical endurance and the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
This opportunity has no predetermined application window and will remain open until a qualified candidate is selected. Aramark respects legal protections for applicants with arrest or conviction records and adheres to fair chance hiring laws. Joining Aramark means being part of a global team committed to excellence, diversity, inclusion, and environmental stewardship.
