As the Food Service Director at Mega Saver, you will take the helm of food service operations across multiple store locations, ensuring all aspects meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. This senior leadership position plays a crucial role in driving sales growth and profitability by implementing robust operational procedures and food programs tailored to customer needs and company goals. You will collaborate closely with store leadership and operations teams to deliver an upscale and consistent customer experience that distinguishes Mega Saver’s food service offerings from competitors. Your role extends beyond day-to-day management to encompass team development, compliance oversight, and strategic planning.
Key responsibilities include overseeing food quality, cleanliness, and customer service; supporting recruitment and training efforts for kitchen and food service team members; and monitoring critical metrics such as food costs, waste management, inventory control, and overall profitability. You will conduct regular store visits, operational reviews, and audits to ensure strict adherence to health, safety, and sanitation standards. In addition, you will serve as a liaison to vendors and suppliers to effectively manage product availability and inventory needs. By analyzing sales trends and market data, you will identify opportunities to enhance performance and implement innovative food initiatives and promotions. Your leadership will also support optimal scheduling, labor management, and operational efficiency, enabling stores to deliver excellent service while maintaining cost control.
This role demands strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills to motivate and support team members at all levels. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of food safety and sanitation standards, the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, and excellent organizational and problem-solving capabilities.
