Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational experience
- State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop and lift 25-50 pounds
- Experience using cafeteria equipment including warmer, fryer, slicer, grill and POS system
- Reliable vehicle for travel within school district
- Ability to work full-time in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management
- Ability to complete required training programs
- Ability to maintain punctual and regular attendance
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent educational experience with academic major in specific areas or Bachelor’s degree in any major and State-recognized certificate for school nutrition directors as per Professional Standards requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to bend, kneel, stoop and lift 25-50 pounds
- Experience using general cafeteria equipment such as warmer, fryer, slicer, grill, POS system
- Ability to come to work promptly and regularly
- Ability to take direction and work well with others
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes
- Ability to concentrate and perform duties accurately
- Ability to learn and apply policies and procedures
- Ability to react productively to change and handle additional tasks
- Ability to complete all applicable training programs

Job Duties
- Oversee ordering, handling, storage, preparation, cooking and serving of food items according to company guidelines and National Lunch Program requirements
- Critique friendliness and speed of service and initiate improvements
- Maintain cafeteria cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Supervise, evaluate and develop subordinates for maximum potential
- Create positive atmosphere and maintain high morale by being firm but fair with employees
- Oversee proper training techniques at all levels
- Communicate with staff across district kitchens and coordinate with Operations Manager on new ideas and equipment
- Maintain open communication with building principals, Business Administrator and other administration
- Participate in annual continuing education and training programs
