Job Description

We are a reputable healthcare facility committed to providing exceptional dietary and nutritional services to our residents, ensuring their health, wellness, and overall satisfaction. Our establishment operates in compliance with the highest federal, state, and local standards and regulations, maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for both residents and staff. As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Certified Dietary Manager to lead our Dietary Department. This position offers excellent pay and is accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package, including paid sick time, group health insurance, dental and vision coverage, life insurance plans, and disability plans.

The Certified Dietary Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of the dietary operations within our facility. This leadership position requires a proactive approach in coordinating dietary services with other departments such as Nursing, Housekeeping, and Social Services to deliver integrated care that meets the individualized dietary needs of each resident. Reporting directly to the Administrator, the dietary manager is responsible for developing and enforcing departmental policies, managing dietary staff, and ensuring compliance with all nutritional guidelines and safety standards.

Expectations for this role include creating and maintaining comprehensive dietary care plans tailored to the specific needs of residents, reviewing and revising these plans regularly, and ensuring the availability and proper use of any special equipment or utensils required. The manager is also responsible for overseeing food quality and hygiene, inspecting storage and kitchen facilities, and maintaining accurate records of dietary services and residents' responses. This role demands thorough knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance to ensure efficient and sanitary meal preparation and service.

This position requires active participation in facility surveys conducted by government agencies, the ability to interview residents and their families to gather diet histories, and collaboration in planning residents’ discharge dietary services. The dietary manager must ensure menus comply with physicians’ orders and that each resident receives nourishing and appropriate meals and snacks. Besides administrative duties, the manager will engage with residents directly to monitor satisfaction and make necessary adjustments to dietary offerings. Mandatory attendance at meetings and in-service training sessions is also required, demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement.

Our organization fosters an inclusive and equitable work environment, offering equal employment opportunities to all applicants regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or genetic information. We uphold these principles throughout all phases of employment to promote a diverse and supportive workplace culture. If you are a certified dietary professional passionate about enhancing residents’ nutritional health and eager to lead a dedicated team, we invite you to join us in making a meaningful difference in our community’s well-being.
