Located in Austin, Texas, Trio-Community Meals is currently looking for a motivated and effective Food Service Director to join their team. This full-time, onsite position offers a competitive salary range of $72,000 to $75,000 per year. The Food Service Director role is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the entire food service department within the community meals segment. This includes managing staff, operations, budgeting, and customer service to ensure that every client and customer receives quality meals consistently. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating food service operations, particularly within industrial cooking settings, and possess excellent communication skills for interacting with both hourly staff and company executives.
As the Food Service Director, you will lead a talented team of food service workers, guiding and training new team members, while ensuring that all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards are met in compliance with regulations. Your responsibilities will include budgeting for the department, purchasing ingredients, and managing costs to meet financial targets and forecasts. Collaboration with district managers and other departments is fundamental to this role, ensuring alignment on the technical and administrative facets of dining service. Additionally, you will play a key role in addressing and resolving customer service needs to maintain high satisfaction levels.

Job Requirements
- At least two years of experience coordinating food service operations
- Previous experience with industrial cooking
- Excellent communication skills and experience communicating with both hourly staff and company executives
- The ability to manage in a diverse environment with a strong focus on client and customer services and satisfaction
- Experience with and knowledge of all Microsoft Office suite applications
Job Qualifications

Job Duties
- Managing all functions of the food service department and its resources
- Manage and lead a team of associates, including hiring and training new employees
- Ensuring that staff meet all culinary, safety, and sanitation standards and regulations
- Budgeting for the department, including directly purchasing ingredients and ensuring the account meets all targets and forecasts
- Conferring with the district manager or other departments regarding the technical and administrative aspects of dining service
- Addressing customer service needs
