The Food Service Delivery Driver position at GAP Ministries is a part-time role that demands reliability, efficiency, and an unwavering commitment to service excellence. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of food and non-food items from the production areas to various customer sites. This role is critical in ensuring the quality and safety of food delivered, adhering strictly to health code regulations and GAP Kitchen's operational standards.
Additional responsibilities include maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the company vehicle, documenting trip details, and communicating effectively with the GAP team and customers. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding customer service skills, a clean driving record, and the ability to manage time effectively, particularly during variable shifts which include nights and weekends. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, the physical capability to handle deliveries that may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, and the flexibility to work in various environmental conditions.

Job Requirements
- Successfully procure fingerprint clearance card and clear criminal history check
- Have at least one supportive personal reference
- Hold a current driver license meeting GAP insurability requirements
- Be at least 22 years old to drive company vehicles or 18 years old with a personal vehicle meeting insurance requirements
- Maintain valid driver license for at least 3 years
- Provide safe driving record
- Pass mandatory drug screen and physical exam
- Be capable of sitting or standing for prolonged periods
- Able to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy objects
- Able to stoop, kneel, bend, and lift safely
- Ability to work in noisy, crowded environments
- Work around fumes and odors
- Adhere to department dress code
- Able to work in hot and cold environments
- Operate electrical equipment
- Lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Maintain regular attendance
- Obtain medical release if health issues arise

Job Duties
- Transport food and non-food items to customer sites
- Ensure timely delivery of all food items
- Verify supplies, paperwork, and menus meet kitchen and health code standards
- Maintain assigned delivery schedule
- Keep company vehicle clean and fueled
- Adhere to food safety and hygiene standards
- Communicate promptly about any delays or vehicle issues
- Load and unload vehicle accurately
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
- Represent GAP Ministries professionally
- Follow agency chain of command
- Accept constructive feedback graciously
- Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Chef
