Job Requirements

  • Prior food service or cashier work experience
  • Ability to follow directions, read, and communicate in English
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, teachers, school administrators, and food and nutrition service personnel
  • Computer skills as required for the position

  • Valid Florida Driver’s License (preferred)

Job Duties

  • Follow daily work schedules for food production, service, and cleaning
  • Participate in ongoing state-approved training related to food and nutrition services
  • Demonstrate and promote exceptional customer service with students, parents, staff, and the public
  • Operate point of sale systems in compliance with federal guidelines
  • Adhere to food safety rules, departmental procedures, and HACCP standards
  • Perform kitchen duties including pre-preparation, food production, service, backup, cleanup, and order check-in
  • Assist with ordering, proper storage, and inventory management of supplies and food items
