Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior cooking or food preparation experience
- Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to safely handle knives and kitchen equipment
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
- Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Qualifications
- Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
- Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
- Ability to acquire necessary food safety certification
- Basic math and counting skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods
Job Duties
- Prepare and cook food items according to established production guidelines and standardized recipes
- Organize work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
- Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as needed
- Handle kitchen utensils safely, including knives
- Operate cooking machinery such as ovens, slicers, and mixers
- Use various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
- Portion and garnish food items as specified
- Adhere to food safety protocols for storage and sanitation
- Clean and sterilize workspaces, equipment, and tools
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
- Follow Aramark’s safety policies and procedures
- Protect company property and assets
