Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior cooking or food preparation experience
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to safely handle knives and kitchen equipment
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain it
  • Good communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related culinary role
  • Validated knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Ability to acquire necessary food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to perform physical duties such as lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to established production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Organize work area with necessary equipment and ingredients
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as needed
  • Handle kitchen utensils safely, including knives
  • Operate cooking machinery such as ovens, slicers, and mixers
  • Use various cooking methods including baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Portion and garnish food items as specified
  • Adhere to food safety protocols for storage and sanitation
  • Clean and sterilize workspaces, equipment, and tools
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive attitude
  • Follow Aramark’s safety policies and procedures
  • Protect company property and assets
