Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
  • Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
  • Food safety certification or willingness to obtain
  • Physical ability to meet job demands
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and safety procedures

Job Qualifications

  • Experience as a cook or in a related role required
  • Knowledge of food preparation principles and cooking methods
  • Understanding of food safety regulations including handling, sanitation, and storage
  • Ability to obtain food safety certification
  • Basic math and counting skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Physical capability to perform duties involving lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking extended periods

Job Duties

  • Cook and prepare food items according to production guidelines and standardized recipes
  • Organize work area with all necessary equipment and ingredients
  • Measure, weigh, mix, chop, trim, and peel food items as part of ingredient preparation
  • Safely handle various utensils and cooking machinery
  • Apply diverse cooking methods such as baking, roasting, broiling, and steaming
  • Portion, garnish, and plate food following company standards
  • Clean and sterilize workspaces, tools, and equipment
  • Maintain adherence to food safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ensure a positive customer service attitude and effective interaction with guests and coworkers
  • Follow safety policies and secure company assets
